The Steady Practice · founding round closes Thursday 8 October

Is The Steady Practice for me?

I’ve had lots of lovely emails and calls this week from therapists wondering whether The Steady Practice is right for them.

So I’ve answered the questions I’m being asked most, all in one place.

See everything that’s inside → £897 founding price, or 3 payments of £315, until 11.59pm Thursday 8 October.

Prefer to read? Here’s the short version.

I’m newly qualified. Is it too soon?▼

Not at all. In some ways, it’s a brilliant time to do it because you can build your practice with these foundations in place from the beginning, rather than trying to piece everything together later.

You don’t need to have your niche figured out, a polished website or a marketing strategy already in place. We’ll work through your positioning, messaging, website, visibility, enquiries and marketing plan step by step.

There are therapists at different stages in the group, and the live coaching means you can apply what you’re learning to wherever you are now.

I’ve been in practice for years. Will it be too basic?▼

No. You definitely don’t need to be starting from scratch.

You might already have a website you like, know who you work with, be on directories, have done some SEO and already be getting clients. Great — you can move quickly through anything you’ve already nailed.

The programme helps you look at the practice you already have and work out what’s working, what isn’t, where the gaps are and what to focus on next.

Maybe your website is good but not enough people are finding it. Maybe people are finding you but not enquiring. Or perhaps things have been working pretty well for years and you’ve suddenly noticed that enquiries aren’t coming in as reliably as they used to.

The live coaching is particularly useful here because we can look at your practice rather than making you follow a one-size-fits-all plan.

I don’t have a niche and don’t want one. Does it still work?▼

Yes. I don’t believe every therapist needs a narrow niche.

Inside the programme I teach three different ways to position your practice: Niche Therapist, Memorable Generalist and Spotlight Therapist.

We’ll work out which fits you best and how to make your practice clear and memorable without forcing you into a niche that doesn’t feel right.

What actually happens on the live coaching calls?▼

There’ll be a maximum of 12 people on each call, and this is your opportunity to bring whatever you’re stuck on in your practice and pick my brains.

We can look at your website, positioning, directory profile, SEO, social media, fees, copy — whatever you need help applying to your own practice.

The teaching happens in the lessons; the calls are where we put it into practice and you get personalised coaching and feedback from me.

You’ll also learn from the questions other therapists bring. Often someone asks the exact thing you didn’t realise you needed to ask.

When are the live calls, and what if I can’t make one?▼

The six live coaching calls are on Tuesdays at 11am UK time.

If you can’t make a call live, you can send me your question beforehand and I’ll answer it specifically for you during the call. Every call is recorded, so you can watch it back in your own time.

I’ve bought courses before and never finished them. What if this ends up gathering digital dust too?▼

I know this one well. I’ve also bought courses with extremely good intentions and then… not done them.

That’s why The Steady Practice isn’t just a library of videos. You have six live coaching calls, the private community and 12 weeks of support to help you actually put what you’re learning into practice.

But you also can’t really fall behind. You get lifetime access to the lessons and workbook, so you can work through them at your own pace and come back to anything you need later.

And The Steady Practice will keep evolving too. If AI search changes, I’ll update that lesson. If Instagram changes, I’ll update that. And if, two years from now, there’s a completely new way clients are finding therapists that none of us are even thinking about yet, I’ll add that in.

You won’t need to buy the programme again. It’s yours for life.

How much time will it take each week?▼

The lessons are deliberately bite-sized — generally around 15–30 minutes each — and around 1–2 hours a week is plenty.

I really don’t want The Steady Practice to become another thing in your life that you’re “behind” on.

The 12 weeks give you the structure, coaching and support to get things moving, but you have lifetime access to the lessons, so there’s no frantic race to finish everything before it disappears.

I don’t want to be on Instagram. Is that a problem?▼

Not at all. Instagram is one part of the programme, not the strategy.

We cover your website, Google and SEO, therapist directories, AI search, referrals, email, longer-form content, press and other ways clients can find you.

I think of these as different front doors into your practice. You don’t need seventeen of them. We’ll work out which ones make sense for your practice and make those work properly.

What if I only want a small practice?▼

That’s absolutely fine. Steady doesn’t mean big.

Your ideal practice might be eight clients a week, or 12, or 18. You might want to work three days a week around your children. You might want to build groups and courses eventually, or have absolutely no interest in doing anything beyond one-to-one therapy.

The aim isn’t to build the biggest possible practice. It’s to build one that works for your life — with a more reliable flow of the right enquiries coming into it.

£897 is a lot when my income isn’t reliable. Should I wait?▼

It is a significant investment, and whether now is the right time is a really personal decision.

I will be running The Steady Practice again in January, so this isn’t your only chance to join. But the price will be £1,197 next time.

This is the founding cohort, and £897 is the lowest price I’ll offer it at. You can also split the cost into three monthly payments of £315.

And you’re protected by my guarantee: join, start Phase One and experience the first live coaching call. If you decide it isn’t right for you, email me by 15 October and I’ll refund you in full.

So you don’t need to join now because you’re worried you’ll never get another chance. But if you already know you’d like to do the programme at some point, this founding round is the least it will cost.
