Reparenting Your Inner Child
A therapist-guided course to help you untangle old patterns, tend to your younger self, and start showing up for yourself in a way that truly sticks.
What if your burnout, your people-pleasing, your harsh inner critic…aren’t just bad habits - but protective strategies that once kept you safe?
You don’t need a dramatic trauma history to carry unmet childhood needs.
Many of us grew up without enough emotional attunement, support, or safety — and learned to cope by staying small, staying busy, staying quiet.
Those patterns helped us survive. But now? They’re keeping us stuck in cycles of overthinking, self-abandonment, and emotional overwhelm.
These aren’t personal flaws. They’re echoes of care you never received - and it’s not too late to offer it to yourself now.
Reparenting Your Inner Child is a 7-part therapist-guided audio course to help you gently untangle those patterns — and start feeling safer, softer, and more in control of your everyday life.
Through grounded psychological insight, relatable stories, nervous system-informed practices, and honest, heartfelt guidance, you’ll learn to:
Understand how your earliest experiences shaped your nervous system, beliefs, and patterns
Recognise when a younger part of you is running the show - and respond with care instead of self-criticism or shame
Offer yourself the nurturing, protection, and play you may have missed growing up
Understand the difference between true comfort and numbing, and how to soothe yourself without self-abandonment
Stop repeating the same old patterns — and start showing up for yourself in ways you never knew were possible
This isn’t just a course about reparenting.
It’s a space to actually begin.
This course is for you if…
-
✺
You’re self-aware — but still find yourself stuck in the same patterns, even when you know they’re not serving you.
-
✺
You often feel like you're too much, not enough, or somehow both — and you're tired of living in a state of anxiety or depletion.
-
✺
You’re trying to break generational cycles, parent differently, or simply feel more emotionally steady
-
✺
You’re curious about reparenting, but want a grounded, therapist-informed approach — not vague affirmations or inner child fluff

THE COURSE
What’s Inside
7 guided audio lessons (10–15 minutes each)
Designed to be listened to on a walk, during rest, or in a small pocket of a busy day. Not lectures - conversations with a therapist who has done this work herself, and wants to help you do it too.
Journalling prompts & reflection exercises for every lesson
Not homework. Invitations - to notice, to name, to begin to connect with what's actually there.
Full written transcripts of every session
For the days when audio doesn't feel right, or you want to return to something slowly.
Reparenting While Parenting Guide
Practical, honest support for the particular complexity of doing this work while raising a child. Because you're not just learning to parent differently — you're learning to tend to the child you once were, at the same time.
Meeting Your Inner Child — Guided Meditation
A soft, grounding audio for the moments when words feel like too much. A way back in, when thinking gets in the way.
Letter-Writing Script for Your Inner Child
One of the most quietly significant practices in this work, made accessible.
BONUS: The Nervous-System-Friendly Home Guide
Practical ways to soften your environment so your body has a slightly easier time landing there at the end of the day.
“I bought the reparenting course last week and have just finished listening to all audios - I had so many lightbulb moments and joined so many dots. Thank you so much!”

“I didn’t think I had ‘inner child work’ to do - I just knew I was tired, snappy, and constantly hard on myself. This course helped me understand where those patterns came from and how to meet them with care instead of criticism. I feel so much lighter now, thank you!!”

Meet Abby
Hi, I’m Abby Rawlinson — a psychotherapist, author, and mum
Before becoming a therapist, I spent 15 years in the fast-paced world of media and marketing. I was high-achieving and good at pushing through. But underneath, I was anxious, exhausted, and stuck in quiet cycles of self-abandonment I didn’t yet have the language for.
Therapy - and later, training as a therapist - changed everything. Not just professionally, but personally. I began learning how to tune into my body, set boundaries, process old grief, and gently reparent the parts of me that had been left behind.
Now, through both my private practice and online work, I help others do the same.
I created this course because I know how much can shift when we start building a relationship with the child within — and how essential it is to involve the nervous system if we want those shifts to be lasting and embodied.
Credentials: I am a trauma-informed integrative therapist, registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and author of ‘Reclaiming You’ (Penguin 2024). I hold a diploma in integrative counselling from the Minster Centre, one of Europe’s longest established and leading integrative psychotherapy and counselling training institutions.

“I’ve always struggled to be consistent with self-care and setting boundaries - I would always end up anxious and burnt out. But since working with Abby, that’s really started to shift. I’m actually saying no, resting, and looking after myself - it feels amazing!"
1:1 client
-
"The way Abby explained the nervous system and mental health completely changed how I understand my mood swings. I’d read so much before, but nothing ever really clicked. I finally get it now and its honestly life-changing!"

-
"This course met me in the middle of emotional chaos - insomnia, harsh self-talk, constant overwhelm. I didn’t expect such a gentle course to have such a deep impact, but it did. I’m sleeping better, speaking to myself more kindly, and even got through a panic attack in a restaurant without spiralling. That moment alone made me realise: I’m not abandoning myself anymore.”

In this course, I’ve distilled everything I’ve learned — through my clinical work, therapist training, and personal healing — into an accessible, integrative approach. One that doesn’t just talk about healing, but helps you feel it in your body, your boundaries, and your daily life.
FAQs
-
Not at all. This course isn’t just for people with “bad” childhoods or obvious trauma.
Even in loving homes, certain emotional needs go unmet. Maybe no one taught you how to name your feelings. Maybe you had to be the “easy” one. Or the achiever. Or the peacekeeper.
If you find yourself stuck in patterns like burnout, people-pleasing, emotional reactivity, or self-neglect, this work will likely resonate. That includes many of us.
It’s not about blaming your parents - it’s about noticing where younger parts of you might be carrying old patterns - and showing up for yourself now in ways that feel healing and new.
